Localization and proof reading

As far as regards the most widespread linguistic service, that is, translation, it should be also added that, once the process of drafting and revision of the text is completed, which includes localization in every phase, a second translator proceeds with proof reading.

What exactly is the first and what does the second mean? In the case of the first (localization) it is a question of a process of
adaptation, from the point of view of style and content, to the language and above all to the culture of the country of reference for the target language. A highly delicate operation, which, even more so in certain language combinations, takes on a role of primary importance in the qualitative level of the final product. Translating a text slavishly, in however an unimpeachable manner from the point of view of grammar, syntax and semantics, without taking account of the world vision, or rather, of the culture of the Country of destination in the most ample sense of the term, which, according to the case in hand, may also include politics and religion, would even in the best hypothesis, generate a mediocre result.
